Alternative Drugs of Abuse: Over the Counter and Synthetic Drugs
Over the counter (OTC) and some synthetic drugs may be legal, but that doesn't mean they're not very dangerous when abused. Children are especially prone to abusing many cough and cold medications, since they can be bought without a prescription, or even found around the house. Learn how to recognize which OTC drugs have the potential for abuse, spot the signs of OTC or synthetic drug abuse, get up to date with trends in synthetic drugs, and download numerous resources for prevention.
